The best training already exists, and most of it costs nothing. We'd rather send you here than sell you something you don't need. Start with whichever front you're standing on.
Learn the method. Stand to Reason teaches one approach that works in any conversation: ask questions, stay calm, put the burden of proof where it belongs. Free articles, podcast, and app.
Build the philosophical case. Reasonable Faith is William Lane Craig's full library: the Kalam argument, the moral argument, the resurrection, all free.
Get the quick answers. CrossExamined gives you one-page cheat sheets and a video for nearly every objection you'll hear.
Dig through the archive. Apologetics315 has years of free content from across the field indexed in one place.
Do it in person. Ratio Christi runs free apologetics chapters on college campuses across the country. If you're a student, find yours.
